Cowboys Hand League Title To Flaming Moe’s

 Flaming Moe’s have now formally claimed the Division One title in the John Smith’s Lower Sukhumvit League.  Their nine-one away victory over the last-placed Lazy Pelicans gave them two match points, while the only challengers that could have possibly caught them, the Domino Titans, lost three to seven away to the Cowboy Job.

 Moe’s third successive league title is well deserved: if they can hold on to beat Offshore Overboards and Domino Inter in their remaining two league matches, they will match last season’s record of two draws and no losses.  Flaming Moe’s have not yet been beaten in the league, having first formed two years ago in the league’s eleventh season.  Their sister team, The Moe Syzlak Experience are equally successful in the second division, having won all eleven of their games so far this season, although they face a challenging road trip to face second placed Silver Dollar in this coming round.

 With the Titans losing to Cowboy Job and Inter drawing with Bully Cobras in round ten, the two Domino teams now stand even behind Moe’s on seventeen points each, which sets up a fascinating encounter this week as the teams meet at the Domino.  Offshore Overboards at home couldn’t stop Cat’s Meow, which sets up another must-see encounter as the Cats and the Cowboy Job tie on nine points, and each try to avoid relegation.  Before meeting in the final match of the season, Cowboy Job will be trying to overcome the Bully Cobras, and Cat’s Meow face the Lazy Pelicans.  Offshore Overboards and the Bully Cobras stand safe in mid table.

 Silver Dollar travelled to the Down-Under Sports Bistro and took the two match points from the Wabbalies in what was the Dollar’s fourth consecutive league victory.  This sees them assured of a return to the first division along with the Moe Syzlak Experience.  The Down Under Wabbalies have had proved valiant, scoring two victories in their debut season.  Being new to the league and starting at the bottom can be a challenge, as the Shining will attest, despite this week securing their first ever ten-nil victory, in a five-times-winning season: their best ever.
