Moe’s Take Top of the Table Clash

Flaming Moe’s look unbeatable having given themselves a clear three point lead after round eleven of the John Smith’s Lower Sukhumvit Darts League.

Moe’s had led the table by only a point from their round eleven rivals, Domino Titans, with the visitors knowing that this would most likely be their only chance of taking the lead. Titans started well, with Pued and Noom taking two of the three singles against Pisuth and Johnny, but Chris could not keep up with Moe’s captain Ben.

Moe’s declared their intentions in the doubles, taking the first two to guarantee a minimum of one match point for a draw, with one doubles and a team game to play. The Titans bounced back however to set up a team game that would have seen the visitors share the points, but it was not to be, as Moe’s checked out to take the victory and the two match points.

This means that Flaming Moe’s teams still lead both divisions, and that Domino based teams take second and third in the premiership as well as third in the second tier. Only Silver Dollar currently represent the other venues at the top, standing second in division two.

With only three matches left to play, and two teams to be promoted and demoted at the end of the season, The Moe Syzlak Experience know that they will be taking The Lazy Pelicans’ spot in the first division. The other team to drop is still a live battle, with Cowboy Job and Cat’s Meow tied on seven points and due to meet in the final game of the season. It seems likely that it will be Silver Dollar that will be returning to division one competition next season.
