Game Report

Cat's Meow started their challenge in Season XII with a strong 7-3 performance beating The Lazy Pelicans. In doing so they now lead the table, with Silver Dollar (also 7-3 victors, against Midnight Cowboys) in second place. Cat's Meow earn the top spot only by virtue of having taken ten legs to six from their opponents, while Silver Dollar took eight legs to six.

In a mighty clash at Flaming Moe's, last season's champions took on last season's runners-up, and came out victors. Flaming Moe's beat Cowboy Job 6-4, and now stand third in the table. Offshore Overboards have their first two matches postponed, so Blues On The Rocks have not played yet, and Silver Dollar rest in round two, with rearranged fixtures for both games to be organised by the captains.

In Division Two, new team Bully Cobras started in style, travelling to D'Pelican Inn and beating the home team (Pelican Leftovers) by 10-0. The two new teams from Domino also both triumped, with Domino Inter hosting The Shining and winning 9-1, and Domino Titans travelling to The Moonshine where they beat the revamped Moonshine Dons 3-7. The Cobras therefore lead the table, with the two Domino teams following. New team The Moe Syzlak Experience had a bye in round one, and kick off their campaign in round two by hosting Domino Inter at Flaming Moe's.

League Notices

Full league results are usually available on the internet at www.bamboosiam.com by the weekend following the game, but printed copies are only occasionally provided. If captains or managers wish to print results, the best methods would be to select and copy the results and paste them into a word processor, or to select the results and use the print option for "selection only".

Please remember that every scoresheet needs to be submitted, and that it is not sufficient either to fill in only one scoresheet per match, or to submit only one of the scoresheets. Scoresheets need to be submitted by the end of the day after the match, and there are penalties for those not doing so. There are notes down the left hand side of the scoresheet explaining how it must be submitted. Any old scoresheets not clearly showing "Season XII" at the top should be thrown away, as Season XII scoresheets are not the same as previous seasons.
