League Report

OVERBOARDS ARE SEASON X CHAMPIONS!

Congratulations to Season Ten Champions Offshore Overboards.  They finished three points clear of Hi-Tech Divers, who led most of the season, but suffered toward the end of the season from players travelling overseas.  The Divers had a final postponed game against Chip Shop Job, with the Job needing and getting a win to secure third place from Silver Dollar who were a very close fourth.

It was a very close season with only nine points separating first and seventh positions, which meant that there were many positional changes in the last few weeks, and all to fight for right to the end.  Even the three tail-enders won three games each, and were separated only by one point each, with Flaming Moe's having three drawn games, The Dutch Dons having two and Midnight Cowboys having one.

Two teams shared nineteen points each, both having an identical performance of eight wins, three draws and seven losses.  Starlight Blues however had a higher points difference, to give them the sixth place above The New Cows.  One match point ahead of them on twenty were Cat's Meow who came in fifth.

In the individual standings the Season Champion (for a second time) is Graeme (The New Cows), with thirteen singles wins, sixty-three closes and eighty-five tons.  Steve (Hi-Tech Divers) put in a good battle for second place, ending the season only eight points back in second.  Ben (Silver Dollar) took third place, with Kai of Cat's Meow fourth and Johnny of Silver Dollar fifth.  In terms of singles performance, Ben led the table with only one defeat in fifteen singles played, and that being to Graeme.  Bruce of Offshore Overboards also had a successful singles record and came second in the table with eleven wins from fourteen, and third place went to Trond of Chip Shop Job.

League Notices

END OF SEASON EVENTS

There will not be any end-of-season events, or presentations party.  It has become very clear that despite most players' steadfast attendance at league matches, there is simply too little interest in after-season events.  This is of course not a problem in any way, especially bearing in mind that the league is only intended to be a fun league, and also because it's free to teams and players.  If any bar owners do wish to sponsor events in the future, or if any players have suggestions regarding events, then please feel free to email your suggestions to LSDL@bamboosiam.com.  If anyone is interested in providing any form of sponsorship for the league, this is also possible.

SEASON XI

Season eleven planning is now underway.  If there are any new teams interested or teams withdrawing or making other changes then please make the details known as soon as possible.  Season XI proposals will be posted on the front-page at www.BambooSiam.com soon, so those interested should check back regularly.
