Game Report - Round 13 - Tight at the Top!

After the single week leap-frog at the top, Cat's Meow are once again back at the head of the table having beaten The Evicted Ones by ten-to-nil at New Cowboy.  Starlight Blues return to second place, tied on twenty points, having won at home six-four against Silver Dollar.  This means that the season comes right down to the wire, with the final decision being made in the next week's final round.  Cat's Meow play at home and face Lighthouse, while Starlight Blues travel to Texas Lone Star to play Star Job.  Both of the top teams will be looking for a win by as many legs possible to secure the top spot for the season.

Elsewhere, third and fourth places are settled, with Star Job third and the Offshore Overboards fourth.   Then, Lighthouse and The Evicted Ones both share nine points, although Lighthouse have a hefty points advantage.  The final round's other classic encounter sees Silver Dollar host The Dons.  Only a victory will be sufficient to lift the Dons from the bottom to seventh, which of course The Dollar will be doing their even best to avoid.

League Notices

Next week, round 14, is the last round of the league proper.  The current plan for after season events is to hold a mini-knockout, on the three Tuesdays immediately following the end of the league, the first two rounds of which will involve all teams.  More details will appear with the final league results on or before Friday 21st.
