Game Report - Round 6 - Graeme Smashes Record

After mentioning in last week's article that no-one had yet reached the twenty individual point margin this season, Graeme duly obliged by smashing the season record with twenty-seven!  Well done, Graeme!  His six closes, including a 129 high close, and ten tons helped take Star Job to second in the team table, overtaking on game points their opponents for next week; Starlight Blues.

In a local derby match, hosts Offshore Overboards beat Lighthouse 8-2, in a game marked by Ray's entry to the individual points scoring table having earned a point for a ton in his doubles with Peter.  Alan took his singles for Lighthouse, and the Mickey Mouse provided their second point of the evening.

At Soi 8, in Corleone's, Graeme was merciless to opponents The Dons, who took two points from the encounter with Kevin checking out one of the doubles games.  Back in Washington Square, Silver Dollar took a singles, a doubles, and the mouse in to give them four points against Starlight Blues.  Down the road at Cat's Meow, Tom and Julian each won their singles to give The Evicted Ones the only two points that Cat's Meow were willing to let them have.

Round Seven next week marks the half way point in the league.  The three leaders are looking to be building up their gap at the top, but as we know, anything can happen, especially with two of the leading teams facing each other.
