Game Report - Cats Take Over at the Top!

After a nine-one victory over Starlight Blues, Cat's Meow have taken familiar ground at the top of the league, narrowly beating out last week's leaders Star Job on points difference. The two teams meet next week in round three, which guarantees it will still be one of them on top! Lighthouse visited Texas Lone Star to play Star Job, and the league newcomers have now therefore tasted both victory and defeat.

The Dons went for fish and chips at the Offshore, and came away with seven points from the Offshore Overboards. Silver Dollar hosted The Evicted Ones, and after a hard-fought match they shared the points five each.

New Cat's Meow player Noddy gained a few points in just one doubles, by adding a couple of tons to the both checks, one of which was a 110 out. Tom's record of a 146 out set in the first round still stands though. Another good performance from Graeme put him at the top of the individual ladder, eight points ahead of former team-mate Kenny in third, forming a sandwich with Kai of Cat's Meow between them in second, only six points behind the leader.

League Notices

Just to confirm for those that ask, the individual points system is three points for winning a singles match, two for each close, and an additional two if the close is one hundred or over, and one for each ton, with an extra one if a ton is a maximum.

Once again, please do not photocopy scoresheets, as sufficient will be provided - there are reasons. Also to confirm, just to keep the administration simple, do not include the Mickey Mouse as a leg in the "Total Legs" box on the scoresheet, although it is a point, and the scores are important so please remember to put them in.

Paper copies of results and standings are not produced every week, but the website is updated each round. From time to time, an email is sent out to notify that the latest results are up, so if anyone would like to be added to the distribution list of that email, please just email the league at LSDL@bamboosiam.com .
