The Lower Sukhumvit Darts League. Season VIIIResults - Round 1 - 10/2/04
League Table
Game Report - Vertigo for Star JobA great start to the new season saw everything go off without a hitch. There was a new team (welcome to you all, we hope you're enjoying it); and there was the first high close and first 180, and a few surprises in the results. Star Job, (formerly known as Cat's Job, Buffalo Job, and Blue Job), must be feeling vertigo, not being used to the height! They head the table, thanks largely to the contribution of new recruit Graeme. He closed out his singles and doubles giving himself sixteen individual points, and helping the team to eight of the ten available game points. Opponents The Evicted Ones fought bravely in the encounter at New Cowboy. Cat's Meow, noticeably without the assistance of Mr Nok, visited a new venue, Corleone's on Sukhumvit Soi 8, and came away with the points. The home team, the Dons (formerly Texas Rangers) saw their rookie achieve his first ever 180, in his first ever singles! Lighthouse, joining the league for the first time, chalked up their first home victory at Offshore, beating Silver Dollar six points to four. Starlight Blues welcomed back Kenny after a season elsewhere, but it was Julian's strong performance that most helped them take seven points from Offshore Overboards. That strong showing from Julian puts him at the head of the individual league table, with seventeen points, followed closely by Graeme. Kai starts the new season where she ended te last one, at third in the table. Week two sees leaders Star Job at home to newcomers Lighthouse, and current tail-enders The Evicted Ones visit Silver Dollar. Cat's Meow host Starlight Blues, and The Dons travel to Offshore to meet the Overboards. League NoticesIts comforting to see everyone in the league following the same procedure, if only in not reading the details on the back of the scoresheets! The first section (for your information) regards what to do about playing in bars closing at midnight. This isn't universal, or universally enforced, so please read the notes just in case you need to know. There were also some other general guidelines, and they can all be found here. Please give it a read, Captains especially. To make sorting the results a little easier, please no longer count the Mickey Mouse game as a leg in the summary at the bottom of the scoresheet, just the total closes from singles and doubles. It still earns a game point, but is not included in the legs calculation for the league table above. Finally, please do not photocopy scoresheets, as sufficient will be provided. Individual Standings
