Two points now separate
each of the top five positions in the league, following week nine when
there were no changes to the actual order of teams in the league. This
leads to a “they have to lose and we have to win” sort of situation if
there are to be any order changes in week ten. Any of these top teams
could pull a surprise victory out of the bag though, and week ten sees
leaders Cat’s Meow play Starlight Blues at Starlight, and second placed
ACSP play The Evicted Ones at New Cowboy. Will home advantage figure in
the equation?
Kenny (ton-less in round
nine!) remains top of the individual standings despite determined
efforts from Nok and Kai of Cat’s Meow to catch up. Big Andy has jumped
up to seventh in his attempt to get back to the big time, but standing
sixty points adrift of Kenny suggests that Andy would need help from
those above him if he’s to get close over the last five rounds. Apart
from small positional changes the only other move in the top sixteen was
Tony of Starlight Blues jumping from nineteen up to sixteen, demoting
Taxi of Texas Rangers in the process. Taxi now stands seventeenth,
followed by Bill of Cat’s Meow eighteenth, Gavin of Texas Rangers
nineteenth, and Lui of Starlight Blues rounding off the top twenty.
