Game Report.

The start of the new season brought new teams, new team names, and new venues, and as it happens, a new table leader too. Tom’s Evicted Ones at their new home in New Cowboy managed to take a total victory from Taxi’s Texas Rangers, whose next game will be their first at their new home at Texas Lone Star. Offshore travelled to Moonshine Joint, a venue that we all know, but to play a new team, and Kenny’s ACSP (new name) took eight of the points available. Silver Dollar covered the distance to play at Cat’s Meow, but left with only two points after a very strong showing by the home team. Starlight hosted Cat’s Job, with the guests, who were completely winless last season, taking their first victory.

So here we are, up and running again. Being a fun league, we have no rule-book as such, but a few points are worth mentioning, although the more flexibility we can have the more fun we can have. At a pre-league meeting the issue of starting times was raised, with the consensus being that the starting time should be at eight o’clock, but with lee-way granted until eight-thirty. Full team and venue contact details will be distributed to captains soon. If a team will be late, please contact your opponent with details. If no team players have arrived by eight-thirty, and there has been no contact, then at that time the other team may claim the three singles without play. If there is still no-show and no-contact by eight-forty-five the whole game may be claimed.

Other miscellaneous points are also worth a mention, for captains in particular.

	Any player should only play for one team during a season, and no BDL first or second division players should be fielded, in the interests of fairness.
	When you have 180s or high closes (100 or over) please try to squeeze all those details into the box on the scoresheet.
	Tons may be recorded with an “x”, or with the number scored, at your preference, so long as 180s and high closes are clearly indicated.
	When totalling legs, please include the Mickey Mouse also, and please remember to include Mickey Mouse game scores.

As much as possible, results and standings will be done over the net and by email. A brief round-up will be emailed out each week. If you wish to be included please send an email to LSDL@BambooSiam.com. The internet version will be slightly more comprehensive, and will be available before paper copies, which will be distributed for venues to post on their notice boards.

On a slightly different subject, Osmo has arranged a games weekend in Pattaya (22^nd, 23^rd this month), playing darts, pool and tenpin. A team (more a loose collection of friends) will be going down from Bangkok. Anyone interested please ring Osmo or Mike or email LSDL@BambooSiam.com.
