Hua Hin is possibly the best place in the Kingdom to spend Songkran, and not just because of this tournament! The locals get involved in the inevitable water throwing party (and good luck to them), but whether because of regional differences or in respect to tourists, almost all water activities take place on just the one day, and finish as afternoon fades into evening.

13th - 15th April 2005 - Team and Individual Events

Programme of Events:

Tue 12th:
Hua Hin Pool League open 9-ball tournament (doubles)
16:00- First round in different venues in Hua Hin
c. 20:00 Quarters, semis, and final, at Bamboo Grove
This event has an entry fee of 100 Baht, which will be returned as prizes. Entries must be received by Osmo by 19:00 on Monday 11th to guarantee entry. The event is not part of the Songkran Tournament, but is open to visitors and league players alike.

Wed 13th:
Beach Petanque
13:00- On the beach in front of Veranda
Darts Competition
18:00- First round in different venues in Hua Hin
c. 20:00 Knock-out stages to final, Bamboo Grove

Thu 14th:
Beach Mölkky
13:00- (a Finnish out door game), on the beach in front of Veranda
8 Ball Pool Singles Pool Competition
18:00- First round in different venues in Hua Hin
c. 20:00 Quarters, semis, and final, at Bamboo Grove

The "Inter-City" Songkran tournament started with a group of friends travelling away at Songkran back in '97, and has grown since into a competitive event and a large coming together of friends.

Participants usually come from Pattaya, Bangkok and Hua Hin, forming several teams competing for both individual and team honours.

Beach petanque and other beach games take place in the afternoons, with pool and darts and other festivities in the evenings.
